Hello, my name is Marian Smith and I am the founder and CEO of H.O.U.S.E. afterschool. I have a rich background in education administration that extends over 3 decades in the NYC Department of Education System. I also hold a license in accounting and business practice. As a public servant and a member of the community I look forward to mentoring and guiding our youth in order to prepare them to be successful leaders in the 21 st Century and to assist the families and all vested in the community.

Greetings! My name is Dante Cotton and I am Co-Founder and Co-Director of H.O.U.S.E. NPO. My background is in international affairs, global governance policies, East Asian Studies and language education. As Co-Director I am in charge of managing the general operations of the non-profit as well as the Language and Culture Department. Additionally, I serve as one of several cohort mentors. I also act as the Japanese language and East Asian Culture Instructor. It is a pleasure to serve the local community through these various duties. Chief Finance Officer

Hello! My name is Julie Cotton and I am the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of H.O.U.S.E.  I have a background in library science, social work and non-profit administration through my education and prior work experience.  I will be assisting this non-profit with its mentorship duties.  In addition, I will be supporting H.O.U.S.E. with its daily duties in connection with its financial responsibilities and overall budget.  I can be contacted if there is interest in being connected with H.O.U.S.E. through financial proposals and/or legitimate investments.

Hi there! My name is Jenna Colman. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Criminal Justice and a Master of Science for Teachers in Childhood Education Grades 1-6. I’ve worked with children for close to 15 years in a variety of different capacities. I’m passionate about teaching underserved communities and enriching the lives of young adults and children. My knowledge in technology, design, and social media will help our families feel connected to the goals their children are striving towards during their time with us. I’ve been involved with sports and nutrition since a young child from playing on teams to now coaching and helping other camps, schools and many other organizations to learn more about new sports and how to stay in good shape with great exercise and good eating habits. Youth Development Director

Greetings, I am Makeyva Carto the Youth Development Director for H.O.U.S.E. Organization. I have extensive experience in education and human services.  I have led many positions in juvenile services and worked as a teacher in the NYC school systems for many years.

I am excited to serve as a mentor and guide youth in underserved communities in which I have come from. In doing so, I will make every effort to assist the youth as they strive to reach their full potential and become future leaders. My view is everyone is capable of anything they desire to achieve.
